Anand Pillai started the session with a anecdote about “Facebook killing meaningful communication”. This scenario is nothing new in today’s social media driven world. The younger generation expects the liberty use social media sites like Facebook, Twitter etc at workplace. Anand spoke the shift in the use of technology from in the past 2 decades: Phase- I was when Technology was used for backend works like payroll; Phase- II when technology started being used in Learning & Development and Org design; Phase- III when technology usage expanded to Integrated Talent Management; and finally Phase-IV where technology has penetrated in all HR functions.
